The new new new site

Guess what? I did it again. But I can tell you that this is the one. My Magnum Opus for another 3 months.
Jokes aside, I am really satisfied how this redesign turned out. Most of the general structure stays the same with the animated background, smooth navigation and a settings page, but everything is else has basically been redesigned from the ground up.
The first and most obvious change is that the page now takes up the entire browser viewport instead of just being a tiny little window in the middle. This gives me more space to, for example, put the dashboard in the sidebar and the quote next to the logo on the top. (Altough both only change when you actually F5-refresh the page lol) I also ditched the rounded courner 2026 tech startup-ahh design for something more "retro" and inspired by a very specific game from which I also have the font. The navigation links in the sidebar are something which I am especially proud of. After a lot of experimenting with different styles and trying different things, I decided on this design and I think it looks great.
Apart from that, a lot has also changed in the backend. I now have a proper password-protected admin panel. Instead of logging into the server and opening the database there and I can now just place blog posts in a folder and write the date and title in the first line of the individual posts instead of having to update a big JSON file.
The only thing that's missing now is the mobile UI (again).
